Gift Aid is a really simple way of raising extra funds to support the work of Horsham Matters.
By agreeing to Gift Aid your donations, Horsham Matters can claim back 25% tax from HM Revenue and Customs when we sell your goods.
That means for every £1 we raise from selling your donated goods, we can claim an extra 25p at no extra cost to you. This will really make a difference.

All you need to do to increase the value of your goods is:
Sign a Gift Aid Declaration Form at the Donation Centre in Blatchford Road. Alternatively, you can download a Gift Aid form and attach it to your donations.
By signing the form you confirm that:
- you are a UK taxpayer
- you wish Horsham Matters to act as your agent and claim tax on your donations that we sell
- you understand that VAT and Council Tax do not qualify
- you will receive a Donor Card with a unique Donor Number. This number is used each time you donate to identify your goods.
We will write to you to confirm we are reclaiming Gift Aid on the value of the goods we have sold. This is a HMRC requirement that we must follow for the claim to be valid.
Donors are required to let us know if their personal details or tax status changes. You can do this in any of our shops or by contacting Horsham Matters.
