Volunteering your time

We as a Charity depend on the time given by our team of volunteers, currently we have around 300 volunteers each giving their time to support the work of the Charity. These range from volunteering over the winter for the night shelter or supporting in our shop ever week.

Volunteering at the warehouse

We are very fortunate to have many donation from our community. We then sort, test and price all items before selling in our superstore.

Here are a few of the likely duties;

-Sorting the incoming bric-a-brac donations into various categories and pricing accordingly

-Testing electrical items to ensure they are safe for use.

-Listing items on-line in line with the Charity policy.

-Support the work of the logistics team collecting and delivering items.

Experience with recognising the quality of bric-a-brac. Knowledge of china, retro, vintage etc would be advantageous but not critical for the role.

Working in the Warehouse can be physically demanding and requires a great deal of common sense.

-Keeping the shop and displays clean and tidy at all times

-Assisting in rotating stock and improving displays as required

-Taking payments from customers
